Tamburelli’s at heart, is a family-owned restaurant that’s been serving the Greenwood area and tourists alike for over 23 years. We first opened our doors on March 7, 1997 with the commitment to serve only the highest quality Italian cuisine and we believe we’ve kept that promise.
We serve only quality ingredients from pizza to our delicious pasta dishes. Our pizza is made with fresh-packed tomatoes and 100% part-skim mozzarella cheese as well as dough that is made fresh daily. Our pasta is imported from Italy and all our sauces are made from scratch. Our wide variety of salads are made to order insuring that you are getting only the freshest ingredients.

As a boy, Giuseppe (Joe) Randazzo, grew up surrounded by flavors, spices, aromas and tastes. Born in Palermo, Sicily, home to the cannoli, and the most famous pizzerias, Joe learned firsthand the quality that goes into good food through traditional ingredients and skill.
Joe arrived to the United States at the age of 20 to help his Uncle Dominic in the restaurant business. After working for family and learning all aspects of the restaurant trade, Joe sought support with his cousin. Together, they opened their first restaurant in 1989 in coastal Delaware. Almost 10 years later, Joe decided it was time to open his own restaurant and did so with Tamburelli’s. Steve Stapleford opened Kings Pizza in Cheswold, DE and another cousin opened Fredericka Pizza House in Fredericka, DE. As you can tell, it’s truly a family thing!
Steve and Joe have worked together and in their own businesses since 1984. In September 2019 Joe decided to retire and Steve has now taken over as the official owner of Tamburellis, where he has worked full time since 2017. Steve plans to continue Joe’s tradition by providing the best quality ingredients you come to expect and servicing guests with courtesy and respect.
